At CMS, we believe there’s a lot more to education than just academics. Students need the opportunity to apply their skills with extracurricular, hand-on activities like clubs and sports. We offer our students many options for getting involved outside the classroom. Take a look:
We have a long-standing tradition of excellence in the arts at CMS. Our faculty and staff love teach a comprehensive arts (both fine and technical arts) curriculum with enthusiasm, professionalism, and authority. At CMS, your tween has the opportunity to experience:
- Career Tech
National Junior Honor Society is more than an honor roll. We recognize students who demonstrate excellence in academics, service, and citizenship. All our members maintain a 3.5 (or higher) GPA and serve throughout our school and community.
Student Council provides an opportunity for student empowerment and leadership. Our members are representatives voicing student concerns with school and community administration. They also serve and represent our school at public functions, raising funds to help other organizations.
Yearbook is a hands-on learning club that teaches students aspects of journalism and publishing. Throughout the year, we learn about photography and graphic design, writing and editing, and marketing and sales. These skills culminate in an end-of-year project—our yearbook. Interested? Join us!
