Dear Cody Middle School Community,
Earlier today, Cody Middle School, in coordination with Cody Police Department and Powell Police Department, implemented a no-pass period as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. This procedure is one of several routine safety measures we conduct throughout the school year to support the well-being of all students and staff.
During this time, our local law enforcement partners also conducted a canine unit sweep of the building. This is a proactive step we take periodically to ensure that our school remains a safe and drug-free environment. At no point were students in contact with the canine unit, and the procedure was carried out with minimal disruption to our instructional day.
We are grateful for our continued partnership with local law enforcement and for their support in helping us maintain the highest standards of safety. I also want to thank our students and staff for their cooperation and professionalism during today’s procedure.
